140 Remote Tasks - Reference

Generate Trusted Key

for Linux

Select this option to generate a trusted device key for

communicating with devices. This option is disabled by

default.

NOTE: The first time that OpenManage Essentials

communicates with a managed device with Linux operating

system, a key is generated and stored on both the devices.

This key is generated per device and enables a trust

relationship with the managed device.

Output to file Select to enable output to a log file. This option captures

standard output and writes it to the log file. If you select

this option, enter the path name and file name of the log

file. This option is disabled by default.

Append Select to append output from the completed command to

the specified file. If the file does not exist, it is created.

Include errors Select to write all OpenManage Essentials-detected errors

to the log file. For example, if no response is received to a

ping request before the execution of the command, an error

is written to the log file.

Select a query Select a query from the drop-down list. To create a new

query, click New.

Select the servers Select the severs to which you want to assign this task.
